In the pilot episode of beer appétit, host Alan Pratt, a self-styled beer guy, takes us on a Craft Brew tour of Philadelphia, PA, the City of Brotherly Love. The pilot starts with some "brew talk" about craft beer's wide range of flavors and surprising ingredients. Alan shops in Philly's local markets with Tom Peters (Monk's Cafe). Tom and Di Bruno Brothers cheesemongers (Hunter and Zeke) demonstrate how to pair beer with cheese, and then visit D'Angelo Bros. meat market to select sausage to stuff in the Quail for the Beer Dinner entrees. Alan then talks with Tomme Arthur about Angels, Lost Abbey Brewing and Brettanomyces! Beeriliant!
